Stewart Nimmo, President & Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Nimmo brings 17 years of experience to the company in the design, implementation, support and management of GIS based software application services. Having working with Utility and Telecommunications companies, the resource sector and public sector, he has managed the delivery of applications ranging from mission critical to public awareness. During that time Mr. Nimmo has development a strong appreciation for the need to understand the market's needs before designing a service and that involving the right people is the foundation for delivering a successful product. A graduate with a BSc from the University of Waterloo in 1983, Mr. Nimmo has developed a thorough understanding of GIS technology, data management issues, software development life cycle, project management skills, and business management practices. Much of his career has involved managing staff and large projects including his role as Regional Manager of a large consulting company. He is currently President of Orbis Directions Consulting Ltd, a GIS/AM/FM consulting company.
Emmanuel Huchet, VP of Business Development
Mr. Huchet brings to Virtually Here nineteen years of Information Technology experience, primarily with market-leading software technology organizations. A graduate of the University of British Columbia with a combined business and computer science degree, his diverse roles have included project manager, business analyst, account manager, and enterprise architect. For the past four years as entrepreneur and consultant, his focus has been business development and IT strategy for early stage technology companies. His most recent project was the successful conception and launch of a leading self-help portal website, where his duties included business plan development, obtaining funding, architecting the technology infrastructure, managing the startup team, developing strategic alliances, and ultimately bringing the business to profitability. Mr. Huchet is currently President of Alumbo Media Inc., an e-business and IT strategy consulting company.
Andrew Lee Smith, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Smith provides the business direction and insight that will ensure a successful operational structure to the company. A graduate from the University of Waterloo in 1983, he has over 18 years experience in the resource industry, including his role as finance and economic analyst for Aurizon Resources for 13 years. During the past 10 years Mr. Smith's business management skills have been invaluable in providing corporate development duties for two private companies. More recently, he has been providing consulting services to the resource industry, specializing in business management direction and also the development of GIS databases and GPS aided mapping ventures. Mr. Smith has extensive experience in the development and operation of both public and private companies.
